COOKIES POLICY
Effective Date: October 22, 2025

This Cookies Policy explains how our mobile application “CherryShort” and our websites including but not limited to CherryShort (collectively the “Service”), use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies on our Service. It also describes your rights and choices with respect to these technologies.

Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device. In mobile environments, we use equivalent technologies such as software development kits (SDKs), pixels, and device identifiers. These technologies allow us to recognize you, personalize your experience, analyze Service usage, and deliver relevant advertisements.

1. WHY DO WE USE COOKIES?

We use cookies, SDKs, and other tracking tools to:

  • enable and maintain the core functionality, security, and performance of the Service;

  • remember your preferences and settings (for example, language, login session, and playback options);

  • understand how users interact with the Service to improve features and usability;

  • deliver personalized content and advertising relevant to your interests; and

  • detect, prevent, and investigate fraudulent or unauthorized activity.

Disabling certain technologies may affect the functionality or personalization of the Service, but it will remain accessible.

2. TYPES OF COOKIES WE USE

Strictly Necessary

Required for the Service to function. These include technologies that enable navigation, secure login, account management, and fraud prevention. They are always active and operate under our legitimate interests.

Functional

These trackers personalize your experience by remembering:

  • your preferred language or design settings;

  • items in your cart;

  • login sessions for extended periods.

If disabled, certain features (like retaining login state or prefilled form fields) may not function properly, but core services will still be available.

Performance / Analytics

Measure usage, diagnose issues, and improve functionality. Examples include Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Amplitude, Google AdMob, Firebase Remote Config, AWS CloudFront, Appsflyer, and Google Analytics. These tools collect aggregated and pseudonymized information about App performance, feature engagement, and errors.

Targeting / Advertising

Support delivery of interest-based advertising (“cross-context behavioral advertising”). We and our advertising partners, such as Meta (Facebook), Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, and Snapchat, use identifiers (e.g., IDFA, GAID, AAID), approximate location, and interaction metrics to display ads that may be relevant to you and to measure campaign performance.

3. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

We and our service providers use standard tracking technologies, such as cookies, SDKs, APIs, web beacons, scripts, and tracking pixels, to automatically collect certain information when you use the Service.

Such information may include your device or advertising ID, IP address, browser type, operating system, referral URLs, session duration, and feature interactions.

This data helps us:

  • recognize your device and remember your preferences;

  • deliver and personalize content or ads;

  • maintain security and performance; and

  • detect technical or fraudulent activity.

Where permitted by law, this information may be associated with your account or other personal data to enhance your experience and the reliability of our Service.

When you interact with our ads, for example, on Facebook, Google, or TikTok, these platforms may share aggregated performance information with us, such as whether an install or purchase followed a specific advertisement. While we do not “sell” personal data for money, sharing identifiers and usage data with advertising networks for interest-based advertising may be considered “sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising” under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

You can opt out of this type of sharing through the mechanisms described in Section 10 of our Privacy Policy.

4. YOUR CHOICES

You have several options to manage cookies and tracking technologies:
